My kiddos love playing dress up, so whenever I find a costume on the cheaps I pick it up for them. Currently my daughter has a buttload of princess dresses, a kimono, a witch dress, and a Supergirl costume. My son has Buzz Lightyear, Iron Man, and Wolverine. He is currently obsessed with Wolverine, but a couple weeks ago he insisted on wearing Iron Man. I let the kids dress up and took them out to the yard for some pictures (for me) and to run off some energy (for them.)
I’ve known Andrea for a few years. I met her when we attended the same Bible study and Sunday School. When I heard that she was engaged I was so happy for her, and I was even happier when I got to meet up with her and Rich for their engagement photos. They are so cute together, and Rich is a truly great guy who makes her happy. They got married on October 12th. I had the honor of taking some photographs after their ceremony. Here are some of my favorites.
Congratulations, guys. You are a beautiful couple, and I am so grateful that I got to be a part of your special day!
I met Andrea on Facebook (love FB for that reason alone – I meet so many amazing clients that way!) She posted on one of the rummage sale pages that she was looking for a photographer so I messaged her my info. We scheduled for Labor Day weekend but then weather forced us to postpone, and after a month we were finally able to meet up at Round Top. It was a beautiful evening and I got some great shots. It helped a lot that they were all so photogenic, and her kiddos were a breeze to work with.
Thank you for giving me the chance to capture some memories for your family, Andrea. I can’t wait until next time!
When this is the first shot of your session you know it’s going to be amazing!
Could this little man be any more perfect??
So much fun!
This was actually just a quick snapshot, but I fell in love with the black and white version.
Thanks to everyone that helped me reach 850 fans on Facebook, and for supporting me and sharing my name with friends and family. I appreciate each and every one of you more than you know. I wish I could give a session to all 37 people that entered, but I do need to pay the bills. Winter is coming and I know my kids would like to have winter coats. 😉 For anyone that entered and didn’t win I would like to extend a special offer to you:
1 hour session and a cd with 15 high resolution images and print release for only $100. (That’s a $50 savings!!) This offer is good for the next six months, so until April 12, 2013. It cannot be used in combination with any other offers or specials. All you have to do is email me at email@example.com or PM me on Facebook and let me know you want to book a session and that you had entered my giveaway and didn’t win.
Now, the moment you have all been waiting for…(I feel so dramatic.) The winner of the free session is LISA VANDRUFF. Congratulations, Lisa, I am so excited to meet up with your family again! Message me on Facebook or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule your session. 🙂
On Tuesday my husband and I took our daughter out of school early for a trip to the pumpkin farm. We usually go every year on Columbus Day, but this year my husband had to work, and we figured that going on a day when kids had school would be a lot less crowded. We were right. It was so much nicer going on a weekday while everyone was working or in school. We stopped and picked up my sister and her boyfriend (partly because they wanted to come, and partly because I needed someone to take a family photo of us and I didn’t trust a random stranger with my camera. It’s okay, though, because we treated them to nachos and apple cider, so it’s all good.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from Tuesday:
Me with my family. I love how I am the only one looking at the camera. Even my husband couldn’t manage it. 😉
One that my sister snapped of me with my son. I ADORE this photo because it is a real, honest-to-goodness smile. My son never gives a legit smile in pictures.
A couple that I snapped of my sister and her boyfriend. They are such a cute couple of lovebirds that I couldn’t resist.
Hope you enjoyed these few pictures. I’ll have some more posts coming soon with images from my most recent sessions. Until then, what are your favorite things about this time of year? I love hot chocolate, big cuddly sweaters, and the smell of fallen leaves. 🙂
Also, don’t forget to enter to win a free session with me. Contest ends at noon EST tomorrow (October 12, 2012.) Visit this link https://rachelklinephoto.wordpress.com/2012/10/08/session-giveaway/ and just leave a comment to be entered to win.
Since Facebook prohibits running contests through your business page I need to do this here. I hit 850 fans today on my business page (www.facebook.com/rachelklinephotography) so I want to give away a FREE session. Comment on this post and I will announce the winner on Friday, October 12th. The winner will receive a free 1 hour session of their choice (excluding maternity/newborn/engagement/or any event photos), and a cd with 10 high resolution images for printing. Any extra photographs will be available for purchase through my website.
Spread the word to your friends! Winner will be chosen at random and posted on my blog.
