Though She Be But Little, She is Fierce

These photos are the reason that I am going to start taking my camera with me everywhere I go.  I was at my moms and my sister came downstairs, not dressed fancy by any means, but it was snowing outside and I just knew that her red hat would look amazing with the snow, and, let’s face it.  She’s beautiful anyway, so that helps.  Anyway, we ran outside and snapped just a few photos, and I was right.  They turned out great.  I love the pop of color against the white snow, and the gray sweater looks good with the red and white as well.

Pure perfection.  She’s such a beautiful girl with an even more beautiful heart.

Christmas Fun

I have so many personal photos I need to blog, but I thought I’d just share some Christmas photos in case any of you need help getting in the mood.  (It’s been a bit difficult for me, considering it’s a week from Christmas and it’s in the 40’s and raining this week.)  I’m not a big snow person, but I’d rather have snow the week before Christmas than rain.

So, we set our tree up on Thanksgiving weekend and then we spend a lot of time in front of the tree reading stories, coloring, and telling secrets in the evening.  Here are some of my favorite photos from the last couple weeks.

These are my angels, two of my biggest blessings that have ever been bestowed on me.

Superheroes

My kiddos love playing dress up, so whenever I find a costume on the cheaps I pick it up for them.  Currently my daughter has a buttload of princess dresses, a kimono, a witch dress, and a Supergirl costume.  My son has Buzz Lightyear, Iron Man, and Wolverine.  He is currently obsessed with Wolverine, but a couple weeks ago he insisted on wearing Iron Man.  I let the kids dress up and took them out to the yard for some pictures (for me) and to run off some energy (for them.)

Pumpkin Farm

On Tuesday my husband and I took our daughter out of school early for a trip to the pumpkin farm.  We usually go every year on Columbus Day, but this year my husband had to work, and we figured that going on a day when kids had school would be a lot less crowded.  We were right.  It was so much nicer going on a weekday while everyone was working or in school.  We stopped and picked up my sister and her boyfriend (partly because they wanted to come, and partly because I needed someone to take a family photo of us and I didn’t trust a random stranger with my camera.  It’s okay, though, because we treated them to nachos and apple cider, so it’s all good.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from Tuesday:

Me with  my family. I love how I am the only one looking at the camera.  Even my husband couldn’t manage it.  😉

One that my sister snapped of me with my son.  I ADORE this photo because it is a real, honest-to-goodness smile.  My son never gives a legit smile in pictures.

A couple that I snapped of my sister and her boyfriend.  They are such a cute couple of lovebirds that I couldn’t resist.

Hope you enjoyed these few pictures.  I’ll have some more posts coming soon with images from my most recent sessions.  Until then, what are your favorite things about this time of year?  I love hot chocolate, big cuddly sweaters, and the smell of fallen leaves.  🙂

Also, don’t forget to enter to win a free session with me.  Contest ends at noon EST tomorrow (October 12, 2012.)  Visit this link https://rachelklinephoto.wordpress.com/2012/10/08/session-giveaway/ and just leave a comment to be entered to win.
